Dear Shishuvidehi,
Last Friday, we were in the midst of the 24 Hours of Reality and Live Earth: The World Is Watching broadcast from Paris when the city was viciously attacked. As you likely know, we suspended the broadcast to stand in solidarity with our host city and the French people. Our thoughts remain with all who have been affected and the entire nation.
In the lead up to the broadcast, we were amazed by the tremendous support we've received and following these tragic events, we’ve been grateful for your compassion and understanding. We are honored and blessed to have such friends and supporters. Thank you.
Despite the unfortunate and terrible circumstances of last week, our work is not finished. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius announced on Saturday that the UN climate talks, scheduled to begin on November 30 in Paris, will go on. Our task now is to keep the city of Paris and everyone affected by this tragedy in our hearts and minds while continuing to build support for the breakthrough climate agreement our planet needs. We ask you to join us in both endeavors.
